Thomas “Tom” Bernard Knier passed away on Sunday, October 25th at home surrounded by family. Tom was born on December 29, 1938, to John and Catherine (Schwoerer) Knier in Sheboygan, WI. Tom was a graduate of Kiel High School in the class of 1957 and served in the US Army from 1957 – 1959. Tom worked at the Kohler Company for 37 years in the foundry division while also farming in the School Hill area.
Tom was actively involved in the School Hill Men's Club for many years, coaching and volunteering to support youth sports for over 3 decades. In addition to enjoying biking, fishing, and golf, Tom was an avid card player always ready for a round of cribbage or sheepshead with friends and family. After retiring, Tom was a regular volunteer at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc for over 15 years. Tom's laugh and fun-loving nature made him a joy to be around. Tom had the ability to connect with almost anyone in any setting.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beatrice, children Jane (Richard) Petrus of Hawthorn Woods, IL, John (Julie) Knier of Green Bay, WI, Jeff (Ann) Knier of Elm Grove, WI, Jay (Angela) Knier of Roswell, GA, and Jerry (Jennifer) Knier of Sheboygan, WI.
