Terrance M. Heus, age 67, of Kiel, died peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan surrounded by his family.

Terry was born on April 17, 1951 in Fond du Lac, son of the late William and Alice (Steffes) Heus. He was a graduate of New Holstein High School, graduating with the class of 1969. Terry continued his education at UW Stout, receiving his degree in Teaching. He taught Industrial Arts for one year, before finding his calling in machine work. He then joined Gidding & Lewis in Fond du Lac, from where he retired in 2016.

On May 22, 1976 he married the love of his life Nancy Bruckner at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, together they celebrated 42 years of marriage. Terry enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything he could. He would find a way to fix everything. Terry also enjoyed taking his grand furbaby Sophie for walks, and spending time with his family. He always looked forward to the days when his grandson Reagan would come over so they could enjoy each others company.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy, two children: Bill (Megan) Heus and Sabrina (Robb) Holden; his brothers and sister: Thomas Heus, Daniel (Naomi) Heus, and Ann Heus; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim (Diane) Bruckner, Bonnie (Bill) Goetsch, Gary (Deb) Bruckner, Jolynn (Ken) Moehring, John (Cori) Bruckner, Tom (Special Friend, Laurie Adameak) Bruckner, and Tim (Bonnie) Bruckner; godchild: Leah (Brad) Woelfel, 9 nieces & nephews: Bob Goetsch, Angela (Fiance, Brandon Wilkens) Bruckner, Alyssa (Special Friend, Mike Kenowski) Bruckner, Jenny (Fiance, Robby Vollbrecht) Moehring, Eric (Fiancee, Jenny Tasch) Moehring, Ryan, Maggie, & Luke Bruckner, and a great nephew & a great niece, Conner Woelfel and Jaelyn Neils and one on the way. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Heus, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frederick and Marie Bruckner; and brothers-in-law: Michael Bruckner and Charlie Bruckner.

Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday. July 25, 2018 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church (413 Fremont St., Kiel) with Fr. Ryan Krueger officiating. A private burial will take place at the church cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at church from 3:30 pm until 5:45 pm when brief family rights will be held.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Care Center and St. Nicholas Hospital ICU for the wonderful care shown to Terry and his family.
