Obituary

Shirley A. Kanzelberger, age 86 of Millhome (Kiel), passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 30, 2021 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein, where she resided the last few months.

Shirley was born on January 30, 1935, in Minnesota, daughter of the late Lawrence and Minnie (Freichs) Kienberger.

On September 27, 1958, she married the love of her life Richard Kanzelberger, Jr., in Sheboygan. Shirley was employed by Tecumseh for over 30 years, retiring in 1991 to help care for her grandsons.

Family always came first to Shirley.  She was very devoted to her family and cherished every minute spent with them.  In her spare time, you could find her in one of her many gardens or baking some delicious desserts in her kitchen.

She is survived by her two children: Scott (Julie Zabawa) Kanzelberger and Kim Arentz; two grandsons: Tom Arentz and Trey (Allieson) Arentz; great-grandson, Trace; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sue Bennin, Tom (Gloria) Kanzelberger, Maria Kanzelberger and Karen Kanzelberger.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, toddler son, Michael, parents, brother and sisters: Darrel Kienberger, Sr., Marlene (Richard) Klein, Keith Bennin and Donna (Charles) Lawrence and two brothers-in-law, John and Bob Kanzelberger.

Per Shirley's wishes, cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Greendale Catholic Cemetery, Sheboygan. A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held at a later date.
