Rodney Arpke, 69, of Elkhart Lake, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at home. Rodney was born on February 24, 1952, in Sheboygan, WI to Frederic and Elaine (Steurmer) Arpke. He attended North High School. Rodney was employed at the Sheboygan Paint Company where he worked as a salesman until his retirement. Rodney was a wonderful uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his good friends and taking good care of his animals. Throughout the years he provided a loving home to countless dogs, cats, and donkeys. Rodney loved life! Wherever he went he made a friend. He was the life of the party and never turned one down. His passion in life was to make others laugh and feel good. That he surely did! He was a genuine person and will be remembered for his sassy humor and his big heart. He will be greatly missed by many. He always said "what do you want to be when you grow up"? Funny thing is he was still working on that for himself. You could almost always find him on his tractor cutting and tending to his lawn. That was his pride and joy.

Rodney is survived by his sisters; Elaine Wangeman of Cedar Grove and Judy (Karl) Riem of Glenbeulah; one niece, Helena (David) Villarreal of Cedar Grove; one great-nephew, Michael (Nikolina) Villarreal of Cedar Grove; one great-niece, Vanessa Villarreal of Oostburg, and one great-great niece, Riley Villarreal. He is further survived by his "second" family; Jamie & Eric Wehrmann; children, Ethan & Aiden Howards Grove, Jennie & John Erdmann; children, Evan & Eli Cleveland, Dennis Grunewald, Ada; many more friends, his feline friends Terri, Cleo and Squirt, donkeys, Lil Bit and Gracie.

A Celebration of Life for Rodney will take place on Saturday May 14, 2022 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Butch and Anne's Pine Grove (W3225 Cty Rd. MM rural Elkhart Lake)
