Rev. Neil C.
Hansen
Mar 7, 1938 — Oct 6, 2026
Kiel
Rev. Neil Charles Hansen, 88, of Kiel, Wisconsin, was welcomed into Heaven on October 6, 2026.
Born on March 7, 1938 in Neenah, WI, he was the son of the late Charles Hansen and Mildred Staffeld. Neil graduated from Northwestern College in 1963 and went on to Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary where he received his Masters of Divinity in 1967. During his ministry, he served as a Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Ringle, WI, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Weston, WI, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Houston, TX and finally at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bella Visa, AR. During his 52 years of ministry, he faithfully served countless souls with the gospel message of grace.
Beyond his professional life, Neil was a man of deep faith, integrity, and memorable humor. He was an avid athlete, loved history, reading the newspaper as well as caring for his other flock- the chickens. Above all else, he was a devoted father who gave his children the knowledge of their Savior’s saving grace for them so that they will be with him again in heaven someday.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara; his children, Kim Albrecht (Jim), Polly Doute (Chuck), Erik (Ofelia) and Faith Brown (Dave); his legacy of grandchildren & great grandchildren; and his brother, Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Patterson.
The service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, (387 Cemetery Rd., Kiel). Our gratitude goes out to the Aurora Baycare Hospital staff and the Aurora Hospice team that cared for Neil in his final days. Their kindness and compassion were truly a blessing.
