Paul B.
Huberty
Nov 1, 1956 — Jun 28, 2026
Manitowoc
Paul Brian Huberty, age 69, of Manitowoc, died on June 28, 2026, at Complete Care in Manitowoc. He was born on November 1, 1956, the fifth of eleven children of the late James and Dorothy (Keller) Huberty.
Paul grew up in Kiel with the blessings of a child's freedom to play and explore his neighborhood and city. Paul enjoyed the outdoors, teaching his brothers and sisters to play pickup baseball and football in the park across the street from their childhood home, playing basketball in the driveway, ice skating and sledding in the winter, and waterskiing behind the family speedboat and taking long bike rides to swim at nearby lakes in the summer. As a young adult, he enjoyed bicycling, long walks, and working out.
After graduating from Kiel High School in 1975, Paul studied at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Lakeshore Technical College, trained as a computer numerical control operator, and worked at Kohler Company.
Paul enjoyed sports as a young child, attending Kiel High School basketball games with the treat of drinking orange soda and eating bagged popcorn from the concession stand. He pursued his fascination with cars by working on his own cars and attending Road America events with family during his childhood and as an adult. He became a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Indy 500.
Paul is survived by his sisters: Lynn Johnson, Susan (Carl) Popelka, Lisa Huberty (Dan Dettweiler), Traci (Patrick) Hickey, Rebecca (Joe) Lauerman, and Amy (Paul) Gurzynski; and his brothers: James "Jim" Huberty, Patrick Huberty, and Michael Huberty; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy, and his brother, Jon Lee Huberty.
Paul's family extends their deepest gratitude for the blessings of loving kindness and compassion provided by those who cared for him, including staff at Point Creek Home of Manitowoc, Fieldcrest Manor of Manitowoc, Complete Care at Manitowoc, and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
A private family gathering to honor Paul's memory will take place later this summer.
