Mary Lou Snyder (nee Copeland), 81, died Friday evening February 17, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, New Holstein. She was born January 31, 1936 in Garwood, MO. Daughter of the late Robert Hartford & Agnes (Vann) Copeland. Mary Lou attended school in Garwood. On December 29, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert Lawrence Snyder in St. Louis. Robert preceded her in death on February 4, 1993. Mary Lou worked for Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 27 years until her retirement.

Survivors include her children; Lawrence (Susan) Snyder, Robert (Susan) Snyder, Kathleen (Danny) Bachmann, James (Ingrid) Snyder, grandchildren; Sherilyn Bowdre, Christopher (Shantel) Snyder, Danielle (Bryan) Bergner, Angela Snyder, McKensie, Kirstine & Gillian Snyder along with 6 great grandchildren, a brother Robert (Frances) Copeland

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Elmer Dee Copeland.

Funeral Services for Mary Lou will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday February 21, 2017 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) with Rev. David Laabs officiating. Burial services will be held at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, MO later this week.

Mary Lou's family would like to thank the caring staff at Atrium Post Acute Care for all their support and to the nurses of Southern Care Hospice who made Mary Lou's last days more comfortable.
