Mary Lubeley, 71, of Wilke Lake (Kiel), reunited with her husband in heaven on Friday, August 18, 2023 at home.  Mary was born April 19, 1952 in Sheboygan, to the late Alex Karls Sr. and Teckla (Bruckner) Karls.  On June 19, 1971, she married John "Lubes" Lubeley at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel.  He preceded her in death on December 23, 2022.  Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed at Acuity Insurance.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as her grand-dogs.  She also enjoyed the time spent on Wilke Lake, taking great pride in her home and was an active member of the Wilke Lake Association.  Mary's grandchildren referred to her as "Lake Grandma."

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Amy & Brian Haese; four grandchildren: Taylor Haese, Mackenzie (Michael) Szeszol, Delaney Haese and Noah Haese; five brothers: Richard Karls, Don (Sandy) Karls, Bill (Kathy) Karls, Tom (Barb) Karls and Dan (Maree) Karls and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Paula (Robert) Drumm, Fred (Connie Brost) Lubeley, Lisa (Don) Lubeley Schneider.  Mary is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by brother: Alex (Geri) Karls, Jr., two brothers-in-law: David and Charles.

Per Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service for her will be held at 4:30PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th Street, Kiel) with Deacon Bernard "Pat" Knier officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 2:30PM until the time of service at 4:30PM.
