Lucille K. Bunge, age 85, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 16th, at Atrium Post Acute Care in New Holstein, WI.

She was born on October 4, 1930, in New Holstein, WI, a daughter of John and Rose (Hartman) Bunge. She attended SS. Peter and Paul Grade School in Kiel. She lived with her parents on a farm outside of New Holstein until they retired to a home in Kiel in 1963.

After moving from the farm, Lucille worked for the Kiel Frame Company until it closed. After her mother's death she lived with her sister and brother-in-law on a farm outside of Elkhart Lake, until she moved to Atrium Post Acute Care, then known as the Homestead.

Lucille loved to tell jokes and in her younger days go fishing. She enjoyed playing cards and if she didn't win she would say "thanks for the lesson."

Survivors include one sister, Sister Rosita Bunge, three nieces, Jean (Andrew) Wondra of Plymouth, Mary Lou Spindler of Kiel, and Margie (Marlow) Schubert of Elkhart Lake as well as cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Bunge, a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Elmer Kuhn as well as aunts and uncles, a nephew and his wife and a nephew-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 20, 2016 at Holy Rosary Parish in New Holstein from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The celebrant will be Father Placid Stroik, OFM, with Father Jeremiah Cullinane as concelebrant, both of Manitowoc, WI. Burial to follow at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
