She was born on January 30, 1956 in Plymouth, to Myrtle M. (Will) and the late Herbert H. Henschel. Linda was a 1974 graduate of Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah High School. She served in the U.S. Army in the military police for 2 years. Linda worked for Pinkerton Security as a guard, and Lear Company in maintenance until they closed. Linda was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Christian Church and enjoyed her time maintaining the grounds at the cemetery. Linda loved all kinds of hunting: bow hunting, gun, deer, and turkey. She was an avid Packers fan. Most of all Linda enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She had a great sense of humor that will be missed by her family.
She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Henschel; her siblings: Jacob A. Sr. (Terri) Henschel, Daniel R. (Cindy) Henschel, Larry L. (Judy) Henschel, Randall R. (Sheryl) Henschel, Karen M. (Lenny) Mandel, Robert J. Henschel, Julie A. Henschel. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and many special friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, Herbert, and her friend, Tom Hilger.
Funeral Services for Linda will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Paul's Christian Church (N8903 Cty J, Town of Russell) with Pastor Ted McCurdy officiating. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Post # 6707. Per Linda's wishes cremation will occur following the service.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at Church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
A memorial fund will be established in Linda's name for St. Paul's Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, VA Centers of Wisconsin, and Compassus for all of the compassion shown to Linda and her family.
