Lee
Breckheimer
Jul 19, 1944 — Jan 14, 2026
Fence
Lee Breckheimer, 81, of Fence, WI, took his final walk in the woods on January 14, 2026. A true master of the wild, Lee was never more at home than when he was tracking a buck, throwing a line, shooting down a duck, baiting a bear or checking his traps. He was born July 19, 1944 the son of Albert C. and Alma (Becker) Breckheimer. Lee graduated from Kiel High School in 1962. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. After 30 years together, Lee married Linda (King) Clement in 2011. Prior to enlisting in the Army, Lee was employed by Lake to Lake. He then worked for Tecumseh Products before working at Kohler Company until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his stepson, Tom Clement; his stepdaughter, Virginia (Jim) Bocek and his step-grandchildren, Lucas and Danielle. He is further survived by other relatives, friends and hunting buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kim Breckheimer.
Much of his free time was spent in the north woods. Born with a compass in his heart, Lee spent his life learning the secrets of the animals around him. He was a proficient hunter, trapper, duck hunter and fisherman whose feats are known by the furs and mounts hanging on his walls. Whether he was sharing stories of the one that got away or teaching the next generation how to hunt a turkey, where and how to set a trap and which duck you could shoot, his passion for the outdoors was inspiring. Lee leaves a legacy of stewardship and a deep respect for the natural world.
An informal gathering will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A time of sharing will begin at 3:30 p.m. Lee's family requests that you dress casually or in your best camouflage. Due to allergies, the family also requests no flowers to be sent.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Lee's name to youth mentoring programs.
The family would like to thank Lee's buddy, Chad, for his friendship and time helping Linda and Lee.
