Larry Kissinger, Sr., 73, of Kiel, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center, Grafton, from an apparent heart attack. Larry was born June 26, 1948, in Sheboygan, to the late Allen and Jeanette (Sixel) Kissinger. He attended Elkhart Lake Schools. On December 16, 1967, he married the former Joan Sabel. The couple farmed together in the Town of Rhine and Larry also was employed by Tecumseh Products for 27 years. Larry enjoyed cars and car shows and was especially proud of his 1964 convertible.

In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by his children, Larry Jr. (Kelly) Kissinger, Jaime (Brenda) Kissinger and Lenny Kissinger (Elsie); his grandchildren Kaila Kissinger (Ronnie), Jordon Kissinger, Dylan Kissinger (Caitlin) and Mackenzie Kissinger; his step Grandson, Joshua (Rachel) Hakala; his step-great-grandchildren, Aurora, Ella and Soli; his brothers, Robert (Diane) Kissinger, David (Susie) Kissinger and Danny (Linette) Kissinger; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jon (Sue) Ornelas, Al (Sharon) Sabel, Jim (Wanda) Sabel, Mark (Val) Sabel, Karen (John) Gilsdorf, Kay (Randy) McCoy, Brian (Roberta) Sabel and his mother-in-law, Delores Sabel. Further survived by his aunt; Dorothy Sabel, uncle; Richard Sixel along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edwin Sabel, his sister-in-law, Jane Ornelas, niece; Karen Luebke and his nephew, Jason Kissinger.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 3:00 p.m., at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6 ^th Street, Kiel). Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3 p.m.
