Kathy L. Owens, age 73, of Kiel died on Saturday February 3, 2024 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Kathy was born on June 25, 1950 to the late Horst A. and Lorraine P. (Sprague) Schramm in Milwaukee.  She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Kathy's infectious personality and laugh is something that will be missed by many.  She touched more hearts than our family is aware of through her role as a CNA for many years.  Kathy could always find time for her gardens and of course her pets.

She is survived by her four children: Tonia Chervenka, Sonia (Brian) Otte, Ronnie (Addy) Owens, Wayne Owens (Abby); seven grandchildren: Kayla Behr (Austin), Cody (Tiffani) Behr, Katie (Mitchell) Karpinski, Keith Stephan (MaKayla), Megan (Chris) Hall, and Jordan Owens (Marcus); five great grandchildren: Charlotte, Aria, Wesley, Weston, Cayden and Cali.  She is further survived by her sister and brother: Heather (Pete) Kuhn and Jeffrey (Jackie) Schramm, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Horst and Lorraine as well as her sister and brother: Dawn and Dennis (Donna) Schramm

Per Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for the immediate family.

Kathy's family would like to thank the Kiel Police Department and Ambulance Service for being there for Kathy when she needed you; as well as DaVita Dialysis, Aurora Health Care, Sharon S. Richardson Palliative Care team (especially Kelly & Amanda) Community Care (especially Judy & Nicole) , as well as the Visiting Angels for everything you have done for her over the past two years.  Our family greatly appreciates the comfort and care you have given to our mom.
