Obituary

Kathleen L. Froh, 71, of Ada died unexpectedly on October 15, 2026 at her home. She was born on December 8, 1954 daughter of the late Aaron and Ruth (Mauk) Schuricht. Kathy grew up in rural Elkhart Lake. She attended Elkhart Lake schools and graduated with the class of 1973. She continued her education at Lakeshore Technical College and received her degree in Accounting.

On October 20, 1979 she was united in marriage to Mark Froh at St. Paul's Christian Church, Town of Russell. Kathy was a dedicated and loyal employee of Bemis Manufacturing. She worked in the finance dept and was a financial analyst at the time of her retirement. Kathy made many lasting friendships with her coworkers at Bemis. During all that time she also helped do the financials for her husband’s business Froh Construction.

Kathy was deeply involved in the Sheboygan County 4-H program, enjoying projects alongside her children—from catching butterflies for her son’s bug collection to crafting with her daughter. Her dedication continued long after her children graduated, as she volunteered with the program for many years.

As a lifelong, active member of St. Paul's, she was proud to have been an organist there for 51 years. She served on many committees and volunteer groups over the years including the activities committee, soup supper, and the quilting club. In her retirement years, she and Mark enjoyed their winters in Florida. She spent many days going to rummage sales, looking for the best deals. She and Mark made many friends during their winter travels. In her free time she enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and on her yard, crafting, and knitting. Kathy knitted more than 150 Christmas stockings for family and friends over the years. Above all else, Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.

Survivors include her husband; Mark, children; Kyle (Michelle) Froh of Ada, Dr. Jamie (Joe) Tyrrell of De Pere, grandchildren; Jacob and June and her grand pups; Moose and Molly. Having no siblings of her own, her Schuricht cousins, Mark, SueAnn, Darlene and Yvonne were like siblings to her. Kathy is also survived by special aunts; Lois, Dorothy and Delores. She is further survived by the Froh family; father-in-law; William Froh, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; David (Kris) Froh, Dale Froh (Connie) Cathy (Richard) Felde, Dennis (Diane) Froh and Lori (Kevin) Burgard along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law; June Froh.

Funeral Services for Kathy will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday October 22, 2026 at St. Paul's Christian Church (N8903 Cty Rd. J Elkhart Lake) with Rev. Ted McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the church on Thursday from 11:00am until 1:45pm when we will have brief family rites prior to the service.
