Joseph P. "Joe" Litz, 19, of St. Nazianz, passed away suddenly after a snowmobile accident on February 8, 2019 in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

He was born on April 22, 1999 in Neenah, to Paul and Karen (Junk) Litz. Joseph was a 2017 graduate of Valders High School. At a young age he found a passion for dairy farming and was pursuing his degree in Ag Business & Science at Fox Valley Tech where he had made the Dean's List. Joseph took great pride in being part of Litz's Farms since the age of 12. He was a member of the Valder's FFA, St. Nazianz's Fire Department, and St. Gregory Catholic Church where he ushered. He enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling in his free time. Joseph had an appetite for life and enjoyed visiting with many especially his friends.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Paul and Karen; his sisters: Savannah and Alayna; and his grandparents: Joseph and Leatrice Litz and Emily Junk. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Junk and his cousin, Brian Bengston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at St. Gregory Catholic Church (214 Church St., St. Nazianz) with Fr. Patrick Nelson S.D.S. officiating. Cremation will take place following the service and he will be laid to rest in the Church Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at Church from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday at Church from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM when brief family rites will be held.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his name.
