Obituary

On June 15, 2023, Jeanne Piron Stoelting continued this life to her life eternal. She was born on August 17, 1950 – just two minutes before her identical twin sister, Joan. Her parents were Norbert ("Nubs") Piron and Marian Hansen Piron.

Jeanne grew up on the west side of Green Bay. As an outdoor oriented little girl she (and Joan) quickly explored their neighborhood. Only one block away they discovered, in a small white house, the family of Arleen Huff. The Huff family consisted of 10 children, and they were quick to welcome the companionship of the Piron twins. Their strong bond of friendship has lasted to this day. Truly best friend forever!

Jeanne started on her educational path at Norwood Elementary School in Green Bay, and 12 years later graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1968. She continued her education by enrolling in the Dental Assisting program at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. After working in the orthodontic field for several years she returned to NWTC to receive her degree in Dental Hygiene. But not finished yet; she enrolled in a Massage Therapist program and achieved her state license in 2008.

She loved to travel. Trips of significance include the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, backpacking in the high country of Yosemite National Park, and a tripwith her sisters to Jerusalem. But by far, her favorite place on earth was the Piron family cottage in Langlade County. She could spend hours poking along the shoreline, exploring the lake, and wandering through the woods. She also loved to cook; especially gourmet menus, and to try interesting restaurants - constantly searching for the perfect Friday night fish fry.

In the summer of 1969 (Road America June Sprints, Elkhart Lake) she met David Stoelting of Kiel. Although it was not exactly love at first sight; there was a spark. It took six years for the spark to become a flame, and in November 1975 Jeanne and David were married. The marriage brought forth three amazing sons: Paul of Los Angeles, Greg (wife Heather Isely) of Mequon, and Tim of Milwaukee. Then, to top it off, Jeanne finally got her wish for some little girls. Greg and Heather provided three delightful grandchildren: Two girls; Ella and Ava, and little brother Milo. Jeanne could never stop smiling when the grandchildren were around.

Jeanne is survived by her twin sister Joan Piron of Green Bay, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Norbert and Marian Piron, older brother John, and younger sister Nancy. Jeanne was a delightful, free spirited person. She touched the lives of many people during her life.

Our gratitude is extended to many people who supported her over the past year with their loving care, cards, and casseroles. There are truly lots of wonderful people in this world! We offer special thanks to the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Sheboygan and the medical personnel throughout the Aurora Medical system. Additional thanks to the kind hearted, loving caregivers from the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice. And to Pastor Nicole Herda, who can bring a smile and laughter to even the saddest of days. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Jeanne's name.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday August 26, 2023 at St. Peter United Church of Christ (424 Fremont St. Kiel) A worship service will begin at 11:00am followed by a gathering in the church hall. There will be no visitation with family prior to the worship service. ALL are invited to attend the gathering after the service.
