Janice V. Schad, 84, formerly of Kiel died Tuesday afternoon June 2, 2026 at Care Partners, Kaukauna. She is the former Janice Mueller born February 10, 1942 daughter of the late Clemens and Justina (Leitner) Mueller. Janice grew up in rural New Holstein and was a 1960 graduate of New Holstein High School.

On September 14, 1963 she was united in marriage to Roman G. Schad at the Catholic Church in Charlesburg. While her children were young, she took great pride in raising her family and taking care of her home. As the children attended school she began to work at Leverenz Shoe Company. Janice then worked for many years at Johnsonville until her retirement. She was an active member of both Holy Trinity and SS Peter and Paul Catholic Churches. She sang in the choir and was involved with the Christian Women. In her free time she could be found tending to her yard along with her flower and vegetable gardens. Janice also enjoyed playing cards and doing word search puzzles. She loved the time she could spend with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Sandy (Dave) Kattner, Jeff (Kelly) Schad, Bonnie Zorn, grandchildren; Krystle (Josh) Gierke, Nicole (Mike) Poley, Olivia Schad, Avery (Sharidan) Schad, Julia Gabrielse, Harrison Zorn, great grandchildren; Hudson Gierke, Chip and Rue Poley and Edwin Schad. She is further survived by her sister; Leatrice Litz, brother-in-law; Glenroy (Brenda) Franzen along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Roman, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Joseph and Theresa Schad, brother-in-law; Joseph Litz, along with numerous other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Schad family.

Funeral Mass for Janice will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. A time of visitation will take place Wednesday at the church from 10:00am until 11:45am when we will have brief family rites before we begin the Mass. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
