Harlan L. Albrecht, 95, of Kiel, met his Lord & Savior on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Cedar Bay Community, Elkhart Lake.

Harlan was born on November 18, 1926 in the town of Meeme.  He was the son of the late Edgar and Hilda (Kammann) Albrecht.  He attended Talyor School. On November 27, 1947 he married La Verne Leiteritz, at St. John-St. Peter Church in Cleveland, WI.  La Verne preceded him in death on March 3, 2021. In 1950 they purchased their farm in the town of Centerville, which they called Green Acres Dairy.  To make their farm a success, Harlan and La Verne worked diligently together on all the duties of the farm, including daily chores and field work.  Harlan was a true forever farmer, always watching what other farmers were doing.  Harlan was active in various farm organizations while farming; he served on the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Cooperative for 15 years, three of those as President.  Together, they retired after 43 years of farming and moved to Kiel, and wintered at their home in Mesa, AZ for 25 years.  Together they enjoyed going on vacation; visiting 11 foreign countries and all 50 states.

Survivors include his children, Alaine (Kenneth) Bub, Kiel and Kay Albrecht, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jason (Lynn) Bub, Jeremy (Beth) Bub, Nicholas (Randa) Monge, Richard (Amber) Monge and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, La Verne, son, Larry, two sisters: La Verne (Alfred) Sonnemann and Gladys (Eugene) Stuckmann; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Dorothy (Herbert) Erdman and Gertrude (George) VandeLoo, Willard (Fern) Leiteritz and Milton (Doris) Leiteritz.
