Glenn Dessellier, age 64 of rural Kiel went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 13th, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Glenn came into the world on September 19, 1952. He was born in Laurium, Michigan, the son of Guy and Alleen Dessellier. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School and was a 1970 graduate of Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in Lake Linden, Michigan.
In 1971, Glenn moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, Donna Schuh. They were married on May 19, 1973, and made their home in Kiel Wisconsin. Glenn and Donna have three beautiful children, seven amazing grandchildren and three precious great-grandchildren.
Glenn worked for 21 years at Gilson Brothers in Plymouth, Wisconsin. In 1992, he went to work for HUI in Kiel and retired from a successful career in maintenance in 2013.
Glenn had a knack for fixing and building things. He developed carpentry skills as a hobby. He remodeled several homes, and upon his retirement, spent many hours in his workshop building beautiful pieces of furniture and heirloom gifts for his family.
No stranger to bleacher seats, Glenn loved watching his children, and later his grandchildren, compete in various sporting events, and rarely missed a game, race or meet. He always made time for a post-game hug or handshake to let them know he was proud of their efforts.
An avid outdoorsman, Glenn shared his love for hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He was happiest when surrounded by nature, sitting in his tree stand, or pulling trout from his secret fishing holes.
Most of all, he loved spending time with Donna, as well as his immediate and extended family at the cabin he built in Athelstane, Wisconsin.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years, Donna (Schuh) Dessellier, his daughter Karen (Michael) Lepisto and their family, Austin Williams (Jessica Nehojah) and their daughters Jaylinn and Aubree, Jena WIlliams and her son Marshall, Clayton Lepisto and Carson Lepisto. His daughter Jill (Brad) Lund, and their children Addison and Joah. His son Craig Dessellier and his son Eyan.
He is also survived by his six brothers, Clifford (Marie), Melvin (Pat), Edward (Roberta), Christopher (Jean), Richard, and Dean (Christine), five sisters, Donna (Bill) Hannon, Germaine (Dave) Dube, Charlene (Tom) Van, Lynn (John) Patterson, and Pam Dessellier, all of Upper Michigan.
