Georgiana K. Vollstedt, 99, of Kiel and formerly of New Holstein died Monday morning August 28, 2023 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born on February 22, 1924 in Chilton, daughter of the late Theodore and Teckla (Voelker) Reiser. Georgie graduated from Chilton High School in 1941 and worked for Hart-Carter Co. (Lauson Div) in New Holstein.

On October 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Edward G. Vollstedt in the rectory of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Georgie and Ed made their home in New Holstein where she took great pride in raising her children and taking care of her home. She loved her family and enjoyed the many wonderful trips taken in their house trailer. Ed preceded her in death on August 26, 1990. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children; Cheryl (John) Gauthier, Robert Vollstedt, James (Ellen) Vollstedt, John (Mary) Vollstedt, grandchildren; Robert (Melanie) Gauthier, Michael (Lara) Gauthier, Jennifer (Scott) Schneider, Amie (Josh) Van Gompel, Jeanine (Rob) Kunstman, Kristy Frisque, Nikki Vollstedt (Dakota Hartstern), Jessica Bulitz (Brian Voss), Jaime (Todd) Westphalen, Eric Bulitz, Bethany (Taylor) Rusch. Along with her 12 great grandchildren she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Edward, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Edward (Alice) Vollstedt, brother; LeRoy "Roz" (Margaret) Reiser, brothers-in-law; Richard "Dick" (Gretchen) Vollstedt and Willard Vollstedt.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday September 2, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1724 Madison St. New Holstein) with the Rev. Alvan Amadi officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 9:00am until 10:45am when we will have brief family rites before the Mass begins.

Georgie's family would like to extend a very special thank you Ann Koenigs for her years of dedicated care and friendship to Georgie. They would also like to thank Scott and Debbie and the entire staff at Field of Dreams Assisted Living for the care and support given to Georgie and finally to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her final days. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name, care of John Vollstedt 460B Niagara St. Kiel WI 53042.
