Everett Edgar Henning of rural Kiel died on Thursday, May 12 at his home.

Everett was born on March 29, 1932 to Otto and Norma (Reichwald) Henning.  He graduated with the class of 1950 from Kiel High School.  On November 29, 1952 he married Jellane Rabe.  They were parents of four children.  Everett served in the United States Army in Okinawa.  He often expressed the importance of freedom and respect.  Upon his discharge, he was employed at Kohler and then Tecumseh while also working alongside his father as a cheesemaker.

Everett and Jellane treasured time with their family.  They traveled.  They enjoyed their home and neighbors on Wilke Lake.  They loved the Lord and worshiped at Bethlehem United Church of Christ.   Jellane died of cancer on August 16, 1992.

On December 17, 2005, Everett married Helen Riesterer.  They treasured each other's friendship and their extended family.  As Everett and Helen entered retirement, they enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, and being with friends.  Everett's favorite two hymns were "Here I Am, Lord" and "How Great Thou Art."

He was a life member of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association and the Eastern Wisconsin Cheese Makers and Butter Makers Association.
