Edward Kraemer, 86, formerly of New Holstein died Saturday evening May 4, 2024 at Harvest Home, Howards Grove. He was born on March 9, 1938 son of the late Edwin and Leona Hagenow Kraemer. Eddie graduated from Kiel High School with the class of 1955.

Eddie had worked for many years as a truck driver, a welder at MB Company and most recently as a school bus driver in Kiel and New Holstein until his retirement.

Survivors include his sister; Donna Wenzel along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters; Susan and Candy, son; Nicholas, brother; Robert (Joyce) Kraemer, sister; Janet (Willis) Rooker and brother-in-law; Rev. Roger Wenzel.

According to Eddie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday May 9, 2024 at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th St. Kiel) Burial will follow in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for a visitation on Thursday from 1:30pm until the time of service at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Eddie's family would like to thank the staff at Harvest Home for all the care and friendship given to Eddie. They would also like to thank Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for keeping him comfortable in his last days.
