Doreen "Mutzie" Miller, 96, of Elkhart Lake, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025.  Doreen was the daughter of the late Arno and Margaret (Fromm) Feldmann.  She was born January 11, 1929 in the Town of Rhine;  at the age of 4 the Feldmann family moved to the Town of Russell, where she attended school.  In 1943, the family moved to Elkhart Lake where she attended high school.  She was employed at the Kiel Woodenware and later at Kingman's IGA grocery store in Elkhart Lake.  On June 7, 1947 she married Arno Miller of Kiel and they lived in Elkhart Lake all of their married life.  After her marriage, Doreen took great pride in caring for her family. Arno preceded her in death on May 8, 2019.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Jim) Bastasic and Joanne (Bill) Arpke; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Drew) Huber, Jeffrey (Ashley) Bastasic, and Brian (Becky) Arpke; her great-grandchildren, Austin Huber, Julianne Huber, Logan Bastasic, Aiden Bastasic, Colton Arpke, and Cameron Arpke; her brother, Ron (Kay) Feldmann;  her sister-in-law, Berneda Wittek; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Arno, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Nora Bastasic; her twin infant brothers,  her brothers and sisters, Leroy (Viola) Feldmann, Alfred Feldmann, Audrey (Norman) Burkhardt, Junior Feldmann, Inez (Melvin "Red") Mayer (Harry Breher), Howard (Violet) Feldmann, and Luella (Vic) Theyerl; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,  Willy Wittek, Leon (Ruth) Miller, Rosella (Ralph) Bruckner, Arline (Leo) Schnell, Carlos (Margene) Miller, Allen (Jeanette) Miller, Elroy (Rose Mary) Miller, infant sister-in-law, Marie Miller, and several nephews and great nephews.

Our mom was the mom many people wanted, but we were the fortunate ones to have her.  She was so loved by all of her nieces and nephews, and she loved them all dearly in return.

Funeral services for Doreen will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th Street).   The family will greet guests from 1:00pm  until the time of services.  Burial will follow at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Kiel, WI.

Doreen's family would like to thank the staff at Harvest Home, Bay at Elkhart Lake and Aurora at Home Health Care for the care given to their mom. They would also like to thank Aurora Hospice for keeping her comfortable in her last days.
