Diane L.
Stahl
Apr 11, 1958 — Oct 2, 2024
Chilton
Diane L. Stahl, age 66, of Chilton, WI, passed peacefully in her sleep on October 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. It was a crisp fall day with just enough breeze for tears to dry quickly - a welcome respite for her family.
Diane enjoyed the simple things in life but had a flair for the creative. She spent her time voraciously reading, painting, tending to her flower garden and house plants, and at the family farm. Thankfully, she was also unthinkably patient as a wife and mother — she unwaveringly supported and encouraged those around her.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Eric Stahl, who cared for her while cancer took its toll. She is also survived by her two sons, Tim Stahl and Cody Stahl; her mother, Rose Mary Hickman; three sisters, Kymn Schicker, LuAnne Heinen-Nigrelli, and Sherilyn "Cookie" Hickman; four brothers, Myron (Kathleen) Hickman, Byron (Pat) Hickman, Duane (Val) Hickman, and Allan "AJ" Hickman; one brother-in-law, Dennis Rambo; two sisters-in-law, Diane (Leo) Finley and Karen (Brian) Alleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was wholesome, without a cruel bone in her body, and her family likes her odds of meeting her father, Norman Hickman; her sisters, Karen Rambo and Kerilyn "Mouse" Hickman; her father-in-law, Willi Stahl; and mother-in-law, Christa Stahl, in heaven.
Per Diane's wishes, a beautiful private service was held at the family cemetery. Diane's family will miss her, but her spirit of kindness and enthusiasm will live in their memories and endeavors.
Diane's sons, Tim and Cody, thank their father's grief counselor(s): Hickory Hills Country Club and dad's golfing buddies.
The family thanks the Calumet Ascension and St. Elizabeth's Oncology Units' staff for their supportive and compassionate care and to Calumet County Hospice for their help during Diane's final days.
