Daniel M. Huber, 75, of Town of Meeme passed away March 24, 2026 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.  He was born on April 9, 1950 in Sheboygan, son of the late Martin and Dorcella (Wenzel) Huber.  Dan was a 1968 graduate of Kiel High School.

Dan was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served his country from 1969 until 1973 having attained the rank of Sergeant.  On September 14, 1974 he was united in marriage to Kathy Ortlieb at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chilton.  Dan worked as a carpenter in Kiel for a few years. He went to work at Kohler and was a dedicated employee there for 35 years until his retirement. Dan was a lifelong member of Bethel UCC where he served on the consistory and was active in the choir and bell choir. He was an active member of the Franklin American Legion and Kiel VFW, serving with the Honor Guard for both Posts. Dan was a 25 year member of the ADA Fire Department.  Dan had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He was a longtime member of the Rockea Hunting Club and the Fisherman's Road Fishing Club.  Additionally, he was a member of the Kiel Municipal Band.  In his free time he enjoyed working with his hands doing construction and building projects.  Dan's greatest joy was time spent with family and friends, especially his wife of 51 years, Kathy, his children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years; Kathy, three sons; Michael Huber, Scott (Kate) Huber, Joe (Mandy) Huber, grandchildren; Harrison, Nadia, Mckinsey, Brieliegh, Margaret, Abbi, Kennedy and Ellie, brother; David (Bonnie) Huber, sisters; Kathlene Patten, Pattie Puetz, Pam (Jim) Raquet. Further survived by a brother-in-law; Ken (Ginny) Ortlieb, sisters-in-law; Joan (Don) Radder, Mary (Jim) Wilkens, Carol Ortlieb (Brian Becker), Shirley (Don) Bartel, Karen (Gerry) Stenz along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Robert and Leona Ortlieb, brothers-in-law; Jim Puetz, Tom Patten and John Ortlieb, sister-in-law; Ginny Ortlieb.

Funeral Services for Dan will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday April 1, 2026 at Bethel UCC ( W4225 County Line Rd. Elkhart Lake) rural Kiel.  A time of visitation will take place at the church on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 3:45 pm when we will have brief family rites before the service at 4:00pm.  Military Honors will take place at the church following services.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.meiselwitzfh.com
