Obituary

Dale R. "Pinky" Hagenow, 78, of Kiel, WI passed away unexpectedly on December 23rd, 2024. Dale was born on June 3rd, 1946, the son of Clyde and Elda Hagenow. Dale graduated from Kiel High School in 1964 and served honorably in the Army National Guard. In 1967, Dale married the love of his life, Carol Jaschob, with whom he celebrated fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage. His daughters Joviann and Tracy were a source of immense pride and happiness.

Dale spent his entire career at Walsdorf Roofing. He enjoyed working on cars, especially his beloved Mustang. He could build or fix almost anything and spent countless hours tinkering in his shop. He loved talking to drivers at Road America and getting under the hoods of classic race cars.

Dale also loved the outdoors and animals and took great pride in meticulously caring for his home and property. He demonstrated his craftsmanship when he built a beautiful log cabin on the homestead. In retirement, Dale and Carol enjoyed frequent retreats to their place in Lakewood, fishing on Boot Lake, four wheeling on the trails, or just relaxing. They always made new friends along the way.

At the end of the day, Dale was a really great guy who genuinely and tirelessly loved and cared for his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife, Carol and dog Dexter; his mother, Elda; his daughters Joviann (Steve) Mech, and Tracy (Tony) Miller; his sister Sherrie Hagenow and several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his father Clyde Hagenow.
