Charles “Chuck” “Pushrod” Tramel, 74, of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center, Sheboygan. Chuck was born May 18, 1952, in California, to the late Charles Sr. and Mary Ellen (Morales) Tramel.

Chuck worked as a truck driver for over 50 years, during which time he traveled over 5 million miles all across the United States.

He was a avid motorcyclist and was a long-time member of ABATE of Wisconsin (A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments.) as well as a small group of friends referred to as “the Huckleberries.” He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and the outdoors in general. Chuck lived all over the United States, including his time spent as a charter boat captain in Florida. He was known by many as a jack of all trades. Chuck greatly enjoyed being with his many friends, going out to eat, having a drink, laughing and talking smart. A generous person, Chuck would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. When the weekend came, it was time for a Captain and Coke, always a short one and light on the Captain.

Chuck is survived by his son, Jason (Melissa) Tramel; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Dilly’s 7 Corners, (W505 Fur Farm Road, New Holstein) at 3:00 p.m. on September 19, 2026.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Aurora Medical Center - Sheboygan for the comfort they gave Chuck in his final days.

Chuck, your big smile and silly laugh will live on in our hearts forever.
