Brigitte Hickman, 77, of Manitowoc, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at home.   She was born June 8, 1947, in Gunsburg, Germany, to the late Josef and Madeline (Wunderer) Offenwanger.  Brigitte earned her Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State University, an Associate's Degree from Lakeshore Technical College and her Master's Degree from Cardinal Stritch University.  On March 1, 1969, she married David Hickman in La Grange, Illinois.  Brigitte worked as a high school teacher, a paralegal, was a director of career services at Lakeland College and was an instructor at Lakeshore Technical College.  She enjoyed reading, crafts and gardening.

In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her two sons, Kevin (Kim) Hickman and Kelly Hickman; her five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and her brother, Walter (Marie) Offenwanger.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
