Betsy Jo "BJ" Jaeckels, 57, of New Holstein died Saturday morning May 27, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on June 28, 1965, daughter of the late John "Jack" Jaeckels and Betsy (Langemak) Jaeckels. On May 9, 2003 she was united in marriage to Mike Kelly.

BJ was a woman of strong faith. She was very involved in her church and lived her life according to that faith. It was also important for her to share that message of faith with others. Always very active in her community, BJ enjoyed volunteering for several groups over the years. She was a lover of all animals and critters. BJ was very talented and worked for many years doing framing and helping others to showcase art and pictures in their homes and businesses. Most important to her was the time she could spend with family. She was very proud to be the grandma to Wolfgang.

Survivors include her husband; Mike, son; Andrew (Sobeida) Gehrts and their son Wolfgang, daughter; Lauren Kelly (Justin Poinsatte), siblings; Michael Jaeckels, Connie Gibbs, John Jaeckels, along with Mikes family; Scott, Shawn and Kathy Kelly. She was further survived by nieces and nephews and many loving and caring friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Toby Jaeckels and brother-in-law; Kevin Kelly.

According to BJ's wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services were held.
