Anthony J.
Gajdostik
Jun 20, 1929 — Jun 3, 2023
Manitowoc
Anthony J. Gajdostik, age 93, formerly of rural New Holstein, died peacefully on Saturday evening, June 3, 2023 with his children by his side at The Court at Felician Village, where he has resided for the past year.
Tony was born on June 20, 1929 son of the late Anton and Mary (Konecny) Gajdostik. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. On February 14, 1953 he married Patricia Chapin, In Savanna, IL. They had a love filled marriage for 60 years. Pat preceded him in death in 2013.
Tony was employed with H.G. Weber, before working at LTC, as an instructor. He was an active member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed 50 years in the Knights of Columbus; he was also a member of the Kiel Fire Department for many years. Being with family and friends is what brought Tony the most joy, as well as hunting and fishing, and spending time with his favorite child (... you know who you are).
Tony is survived by his five children: Toni Ann Wozniak, Martin (Sharon) Gajdostik, Jo Ellyn "Chick" (Rodney) Schroeder, Karen Gajdostik and Frank (Gail) Gajdostik; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister-in-law: Lelia Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pat, one brother, two sisters and one sister-in-law
Per Tony's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 14th, 2023 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, (423 Fremont St.) Kiel. Tony will be laid to rest next to Pat at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Kiel, WI.
The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Friday from 9:00AM until 10:30AM when family rites will be held before the mass.
Any memorials will be used for Masses to be offered for Pat and Tony, as requested by dad.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to the staff of The Court at Felician Village as well as Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Tony and his family during his recent illness.
