Obituary

Anthony Joseph Bonde,  born on May 22, 1960, age 62 of rural Kiel, died  at his home unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on November 18, 2022. He was a 1978 graduate from Kiel High School.  On February 28, 2003 Tony married Mary P. Kuhnle in Manitowoc.

As an avid outdoorsman, Tony enjoyed hunting, both with gun and bow, culminating in an Alaskan moose and elk hunt with his brother, Russell and cousin, David Bonde.  One of his greatest pleasures was to walk in the woods among the many trees he planted on his property and experience the sights and sounds of nature first-hand.

A few of his many accomplishments in life include farming with Russell, with whom he co-owned a fallow deer herd and working at Land O' Lakes in Kiel, where in 2001, he was named Grand Master Cheesemaker at the Wisconsin State Fair.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; their children, Vincent and Aaron; his parents, Donald and Margie Bonde; eight siblings: Gary Bonde, Wanda (Jim) Sabel, Randall (Mary) Bonde, Daniel (Shelly) Bonde,  Karen (Robert) Hennings, Cheryl (Andrew) Klauck, Russell (Mary) Bonde and Roger Bonde; brother-in-law, Darryl (Dewi) Kuhnle and sister-in-law, Ann (Robert) Djupstrom. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Adam Bonde and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Fritz  Kuhnle.

Funeral Services for Tony will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6 th St., Kiel) at 11:00 a.m., with Joe Zenk officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Tony would want everyone to please, take a walk outside, look at a tree, breathe the fresh air and appreciate nature.

He is deeply missed by his entire family, but the knowledge that he is no longer in any physical pain is their comfort.
