Newton
Anthony "Tony" Binversie, 71, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was born August 13, 1954 in Sheboygan to the late Alfred and Rita (Leitermann) Binversie. He attended St. Gregory School in St. Nazianz; Kiel High School in Kiel; and Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland. On October 27, 1979, Tony married Darlene Hertel. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work, sharing 46 wonderful years of marriage.
Tony dedicated many years of his life to his work as a journeyman industrial mechanic, including his time at Sargento, as well as WillPemco, H.G. Weber, PolyFab, and Hayssen. He took great pride in his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. Tony was an active member and dedicated volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, in Newton where he gave generously of his time and faith.
Tony is lovingly survived by his wife, Darlene; his daughter, Amy (Pedro) de Castro; his son, Jason (Christina) Binversie; his cherished grandchildren, Chloe, Simon, Owen, Victoria and Isabella; and beloved dog, Joey. He is further survived by his siblings: Mike (Sue) Binversie, Paul (Lori) Binversie, Ken (Lisa) Binversie, John (Amanda) Binversie, Fran Pitz, Sister Natalie Binversie, Rosie (Keith) Biese, Mary (Marty) Seichter, Irene (Keith) Novak, and Julie Binversie, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was also a proud and devoted godfather to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Elizabeth Hertel; his brother-in-law, Mike Pitz; and his beloved grandson Jack Binversie.
Tony will be remembered as a wonderful man who deeply loved his family. He found great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he especially treasured the time he spent helping coach his son's games when he was young. Tony also enjoyed being outdoors – working on tractors, gardening, cooking, hunting, and fishing.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He provided a constant source of love and support, and was always there when his family and friends needed him.
